About Laura

Laura Dritlein strives to write novels that capture the allure of music, the artists who write and perform, and the excitement of being at a live concert. 

She falls head over heels for rock star romances. She’s writing about a guitar hero who claws back from the brink and unexpectedly lands in the arms of a strong heroine. Her contemporary romance, Sonata, throws an errant rock star together with a reluctant talent manager tasked with rescuing his rock and roll career. When he secretly plans to take his music in another direction, she discovers the elusive and irresistible man behind the music. 

Laura also loves novels about the hero’s journey. In her contemporary women’s fiction novel, Desert Song, a talented young violinist leaves her small desert town for the first time to rescue her brother. Even though he’s the one who shook the dust of their hometown off his boots. Alice Pappi embarks on a cross-country road trip rife with adventures and pitfalls. Her unsavory travel companion is just the start of her troubles.      

Laura is a former freelance writer for local newspapers and magazines. She’s currently following her passion for fiction writing. 

When Laura is not writing, she looks for her next story while traveling around the country, attending live music concerts, kayaking down lazy rivers, and exploring new bike trails.
